Each year, the Green Shipping Summit brings together the maritime industry's key stakeholders around round tables, sessions and workshops to discuss urgent issues such as :

  •  green fuels,
  •  decarbonization practices in shipping and ports,
  •  key supporting technologies and international and national policies.

HAROPA PORT present at the event

Jérôme Besancenot, head of Digital Transition, will speak on January 29 at 4:45 pm during a debate dedicated to sustainable and connected port operations.

He talk about the major projects undertaken by France's leading port to become a leading port in the energy and ecological transition:

  •  the onshore power supply project for Le Havre's cruise terminal to enable liners to switch off their engines during their calls;
  •  the development of a digital twin “Passage plan” to manage ship call operations and their stay alongside the quayside in Le Havre. This technology, thanks to AI, helps to decarbonize activities while improving overall supply chain;
  •  the MyETA application developed by the Easyport public interest group. By combining artificial intelligence with the data from SOGET’s Port Community System S)ONE and HAROPA PORT, My ETA provides the expected time of arrival of ships in a port.
