company : HAROPA PORT wins best seaport in Europe & best green seaport awards

On June 25 in Shanghai, HAROPA PORT was awarded "Best seaport in Europe" and "best green seaport" at the AFLAS (Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain Award) ceremony. These two awards recognize the success of the port’s actions to reconcile economic development with the ecological and energy transition.

In competition with world ports among which Barcelona, Hamburg, Long Beach or Singapore, HAROPA PORT has been elected both “Best Seaport in Europe” and “Best green seaport” by the 15,000 readers of Asia Cargo News magazine. they illustrate the port's attractiveness and competitiveness in the Asia-Pacific region.

Judging criteria included :

  • diversity and capacity to develop its maritime offering,
  • speed of goods throughput,
  • smart port strategy and actions,
  • compliance with ecological regulations governing the transport of goods,
  • investment in the ecological and energy transition,
  • etc.
