maritime : In Le Havre, the STADT DRESDEN inaugurates Gemini Cooperation's Shuttle Méditerranée service

On March, 25, 2025, the container ship STADT DRESDEN made its first call at Le Havre on the Quai de l'Atlantique, operated by CNMP LH. This stopover marks the launch of the Shuttle Méditerranée maritime service, operated by Gemini Cooperation - the alliance Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd. This new connection makes the port even more attractive to major shipping lines.

Two shuttle services to optimise trade

Gemini Cooperation is deploying two weekly shuttle services, positioning Le Havre as a strategic hub:

  •  Benelux France Shuttle: a link between Rotterdam, Antwerp and Le Havre, dedicated to transatlantic flows,
  •  Med France Shuttle: a service linking Tangiers and Algéciras to Le Havre, designed for flows from Asia and the Middle East route.

Strategic advantages for freight operators

These new connections offer competitive transit times for both imports and exports, optimising the logistics chain. They are also in line with the joint ambition of Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd to achieve schedule reliability of more than 90% on these trades, thereby enhancing the predictability of flows.

Another advantage is that road hauliers can access the terminal without having to make an appointment, guaranteeing faster, smoother transit of goods.

Greater attractiveness for HAROPA PORT

The arrival of these services, operated by Gemini Cooperation (Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd), illustrates the port's growing attractiveness of the port for major shipping lines. This dynamic is fully in line with HAROPA PORT's development strategy.
