Chartered by TotalEnergies in partnership with the Malaysian shipowner AET, this vessel was built by Samsung heavy industries in Geoje, South Korea. It is the first in a series of six LNG-fueled crude carriers, and joins the company's fleet of time-charters.

It is 330 m long and 60 m wide, with a loading capacity of 300,000 dwt and a draught of 21 m.

The Eagle Valence relies on the LNG bunkering network of TotalEnergies Marine Fuels, the TotalEnergies entity dedicated to bunkering activities, for its supplies.
