rail : New rail service between Le Havre and Lyon

Delta Rail strengthens its rail offer by linking Le Havre to Lyon through its Chalon-sur-Saône's hub with the introduction of two rotations per week. This new connection reinforces HAROPA PORT's rail services to the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Every week, two import/export shuttles link Le Havre to Chalon-sur-Saône. Operated by DB Cargo France, Delta Rail's traction provider, these convoys now serve the Lyon Port Édouard Herriot multimodal terminal.

By including Lyon in its itinerary, Delta Rail is helping to expand the HAROPA PORT’s hinterland, while developing new traffic.

There are now 9 weekly services between Le Havre and Lyon ; This launch complementing the existing Naviland Cargo's weekly service between HAROPA PORT and the Lyon Vénissieux terminal, with 7round-trips a week.

An environmentally-friendly alternative: rail emits 9 times less CO2 than road.
